David Mailing Architect Inc.
David Mailing Architect Inc. has been in practice
since 1988. Since 1996, we have worked out of offices in Stittsville.
We are a small office, offering quality, well-grounded design guidance.
We are always busy, but never too busy to maintain our casual but
personal service to each client. Although much of our design work
is done by hand, we are otherwise completely computerized, operating
Autocad 14 and 2000. Virtually all document correspondence is available

Although we have a tight group of consultants and builders that
we enjoy working with, we are always teamed oriented and thus capable
of working with any/all parties involved.
Our staff is made up of a team of seven. Each person has a speciality,
but all are equally involved on almost all projects:
David Mailing typically acts
as the Project Architect, carrying out all initial design studies
and continuous liaison with the client. He also acts as the Office
Manager, overseeing the daily activities of the firm. During construction,
David oversees the selection and detailing of all interior and exterior
finishes.
Jim Bell, our senior Technologist
and Design Coordinator, carries out all aspects of design development,
ensuring that all projects receive strong guidance from their initial
designs through to working drawings. He also coordinates production,
negotiations with Authorities and builders and carries out most
of our Contract Administration during construction.
Mary Anne Bull, our Intern
Architect, assists with numerous design and production-related tasks.
Paul Kershaw, Sean Carty and Marc Michaud,
our most capable team of Technologists, carry out the production
of working drawings and specifications.
Carol Downing, takes care of
office administration and internal cost control.
